It’s been a long time, much too long since I last blogged. I have a good reason though, if not the best excuse in the world. This past March, my husband and I welcomed our daughter, Giada Kate! The last seven months have been absolutely incredible. Giada is the happiest, most bubbly baby you will ever meet and always manages to keep Phil and I smiling even when she’s had us up all night! My pregnancy was not the easiest by any means, so I had to make the difficult decision of canceling my portrait sessions starting at 5 weeks because I was too sick. Many of you know that I also work for a pediatrician, so doing photo sessions as well as working at the office was more than I could handle. After a long maternity leave, I’m back in business and enjoying my new schedule.

Just after Giada was born, my good friend, Eileen came over to take some photos of Giada and I together. I will cherish these photos forever, and am so lucky to have a photographer-friend at my disposal to capture those images I cant get myself. Thanks again, Eileen, your photos mean the world to me <3.

Without further ado, I introduce Giada Kate :::::: 03/05/2011 7lb. 3oz. Giada is Italian for “Jade”.

I had the privilege of meeting up with these two little cuties and their Mom and Dad for an early- morning shoot today. Alanna and Paige were so fun to photograph and so interactive with each other. I really enjoy photographing twins and had such a fun time this morning. It’s amazing to observe twins together and see just how different they are, they’re little personalities really start to shine at this age. Paige and Alanna will be turning one very soon! Happy birthday girls!

A Winter Wedding ::: Gary and Rachel

It’s blog catch-up time for me! What better way to start than with a beautiful winter wedding? This past January I second shot Gary and Rachel’s wedding for my good friend, Eileen of e. broderick photography. We always have an awesome time shooting together and have shot several weddings together over the past two years. Second shooting is something I really enjoy, as it allows me to be creative and see things from a different prospective. Rachel and Gary are a fun, gorgeous couple whom we first met for their engagement session in the winter of 2009 at the Dzen Christmas Tree Farm in South Windsor, CT. We had a blast that afternoon and I was so excited when Eileen asked me to help with their wedding as well. They got married at the Fox Hill Inn in Brookfield. Everything about the day was absolutely stunning. . .beautiful bride, handsome groom, fun wedding party and an awesome old classic car. Very Cool. Here are a few highlights from the day. . .enjoy!

Baby Levi Is One!

Oh Levi, how did you grow up so quick? It seems like yesterday that your (ecstatic) Mom and Dad were running off to Pennsylvania to bring you home. You’re one loved little man, thats for sure. . .and cute to boot! All is can saw is your shirt says it all, you really are “kind of a big deal”

Sweet Baby Leo

I am in love. . . .with a little lion.

My sister, Taia and her husband German had this sweet little boy on March 27th. He couldn’t be any more perfect and I am such a proud Tia!! (auntie in spanish) It has been such a treat having a newborn in the family to take pictures of. These images were taken last weekend at exactly 1 week old. Enjoy !

Henrietta’s Table :: Boston

So, ever since I started blogging back in 2008 I have wanted to incorporate food/food product and restaurant reviews in my blog. You see, my degree is in nutrition & dietetics so this kind of thing comes naturally to me and I have to admit I am a food blog junkie. It’s such a great way to share all the new, great products available now as well as to give a lil shout of to a great dining spot. In my food blogging segments, I hope to share recipes, reviews and hopefully impart a little nutrition wisdom. Without furthur ado. . .here’s what I’ve been up to recently. . .

A few weeks ago, I met up with my friend Alex to have girls weekend in Boston. She and I used to live together when we went to Lesley University in Cambridge. We both miss our time in the city and often find ourselves going back to enjoy a little shopping and see what new spot we can find to get a bite. My favorite of this particular weekend was our meal at Henrietta’s Table. It is tucked away in the Charles Hotel in Cambridge and so cozy and charming, you feel like you’re in Martha Stewart’s kitchen Henrietta’s menu is based off of fresh, local food that couldn’t have been tastier. I actually discovered Henrietta’s Table from another food blog, Carrots N Cake. It was suggested that we go there for breakfast and we certainly were not disappointed! Alex enjoyed a fruit and yogurt parfait and orange juice to start while I sipped on a fresh cup of Harney and Sons green tea. For our meal, I ordered an egg white omelette with local grafton cheddar cheese, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. It was served alongside potato hash and cranberry walnut bread. yum! Henrietta’s Table gets a thumbs up in my book and is the perfect place to go for a cozy breakfast in the city.

Wow. One. I began photographing Hayes when he was 1 week old, and I truly cannot believe he is a year old already. He has been an absolutely dream to take pictures of and has more spunk, personality and smiles than I have ever seen in a baby. Saturday’s session was more of a family shoot, including Hayes’s beautiful twin sisters Grace and Harper along with Mom and Dad. Here’s a little sampling of the images from the afternoon. Enjoy!
